报告题目： Interplay of Kondo effect and superconductivity in hybrid superconductor-quantum dot devices

Both Kondo effect and conventional superconductivity are well understood many body correlation effects. In last decade, the Kondo effect are intensively investigated in mesoscopic systems due to the high controllability. And the quantum dot coupled with superconductor also provides an idea platform to study the interplay of Kondo effect and superconductivity. In this talk, I would introduce you the Andreev transports through a quantum dot coupled with superconductors, which are dominated by the competition between Kondo effect and superconductivity. Except the well-known competitive relationship, the Kondo effect and the superconductivity may display promoting each other. On one hand, the Kondo effect can enhance the Andreev bound states, on the other hand, the local moment of quantum dot can be screened by the significant broadened Andreev bound states.
Dr. Lin Li received his Ph.D degree in 2012 from Lanzhou University. After postdoctoral researches in Hong Kong University, he is now working at South University of Science and Technology of China (SUSTC) as a Research Fellow. The present research of Dr. Lin Li focuses on Condensed Matter Theory, Strongly Correlated Electron Systems, Quantum transport and control.
